First ever CES Cross Country Team races at UT Southern

On Wednesday, September 18, seventy students from grades 2-6 competed in Cornersville Elementary School's first-ever cross-country meet. The UT Southern Cross Country Team hosted the meet, which was held at UT Southern's Sports Complex. CES competed against Richland Elementary and Pulaski Elementary.

The 4-6th grade girls' team placed first, and Saylor Newton placed first overall in the 2-3 grade girls' race.

It took a lot of courage for these runners to show up and compete, and they did a fantastic job!

    Great job to everyone!
