Marshall County School System will be responsible to all stakeholders ensuring all graduates of Marshall County School System possess 21st century skills in a global society.

The Marshall County Board of Education will meet on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Conference Room, 700 Jones Circle. Individuals who wish to address the Board during the public comment period for actionable items on the agenda see Board Policy 1.404 Appeals and Appearances Before the Board.

  • FHS Leo Club Recognized

    FHS Leo Club Recognized

    The Forrest School Leo Club was recognized at Monday's Board Meeting for their recent fundraising efforts which included $500 to the Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund.  The Leo Club holds an annual Homecoming Dance in which profits are donated to cover a $1,000 yearly donation to the TN School for the Blind and the sponsorship of at least 1 Future Leader (seeing eye) puppy at $500. Remaining profits this year were donated to East Tennessee flood victims and Ethan Ellis, Co-President and Hannah Miller Vice-President, presented the check to Director of Schools Jacob Sorrells to forward to TOSS relief efforts.

    OGES First Graders Recognized

    The following OGES first grade students were recognized at Monday's Board Meeting for scoring above the 90th percentile of the composite score for the beginning of the year on AimsWeb. Congratulations to (L-R) Avianna Dupont (98th); Coralei Warhurst (91st); Collier Mills (90th); Arabella Adams (92nd); and Amier Knowles (97th).  Logan Brown (92nd) was not present.

    Lewisburg Elks Scholarship Night

    Lewisburg Elks Lodge #1990 hosted an Elks Scholarship/College/Career Fair on Tuesday evening with several colleges and trade schools on hand to meet with students and their families. Elks members shared information about four state and national level scholarships the organization sponsors.
