Jacob Sorrells returned to Marshall County in the spring of 2013 after serving as principal of Lincoln County High school. He formerly served as principal of Marshall County High School. Jacob has also been a teacher, assistant principal and principal in Giles County and Lincoln County. Mr. Sorrells graduated from Middle Tennessee State University. He has his masters from Tennessee State University. He was a social studies teacher and coach when in the classroom. His home is in Petersburg, Tennessee. He is married to Sandy Sorrells, an educator in Lincoln County. They have two sons and two daughters.

Mr. Sorrells has set a goal for Marshall County Schools of implementing and improving professional learning communities. He can be found in the schools listening and learning from students, faculty, and administrators.
