    Don’t miss our FREE Summer Safari ( Safe-Audacious-Friendly-Ambitious-Respectful-Integrity) Acceleration Camp.

    June 2-26 ( M-Th), 7:30-2:30

    Bus transportation, lunch and 2 snacks provided.

    Free field trip on the last day to the Nashville Zoo.

    Acceptance letters will be sent home on Monday, May 5 to all students who have registered . Registration for other students will be accepted until Tuesday, May 6.

    Congratulations to Oak Grove Elementary Kindergarten teacher Elizabeth Taylor on recently being named News 2 Educator of the Week. Parents say she creates an environment where students feel valued and loved. She plans fun activities engaging students, so they learn. Peers say she lays the foundation for education so students are well prepared for first grade.

    MCHS Multi-Award Winner at TASC Convention

    Advisor Vanessa Sweeney, Maggie Steely, the 2024-2025 TASC President, and 15 fellow MCHS student leaders attended the 77th Annual Tennessee Association of Student Councils (TASC) State Convention hosted by Haywood High School in late March. Accolades earned included: Autumn Sweatt, elected as the Middle Tennessee Area High School Representative; 3rd place, essay contest; 1st place, E-Scrapbook; ten-time Four Star Council and nine-time Platinum Council; three awards for individual projects; TASC Above and Beyond Award; TASC Member of the Year Award; Associated Leadership Program (ALP) award; TASC All Star Award; TASC Impact Award; Legacy Award; NASC's Dale D. Hawley Leadership Award; and TASC Administrator of the Year, Dr. Justin Perry.

    Donated Lift to Benefit WES Student

    A student at WES is benefiting from a team effort of District employees, who worked together to provide a lift. School nurse Amanda Osborne researched to find a group in Nashville that donates medical equipment. She coordinated with the group, parent, and physical therapist to get the application filed and approved. The maintenance department picked up and set up of the lift. Many thanks to school nurse Amanda Osborne, principal Carrie Utterback, WES staff, and Dwayne Robinson and Cindy Kanka from the Maintenance Department.

  • State-Wide Mathematics Contest

    State-Wide Mathematics Contest

    On April 8, 2025 four LMS students traveled to The University of Tennessee Southern for The Sixty-Fifth Annual State-Wide High School Mathematics Contest. The top students from both private and public schools in Marshall, Wayne, Lincoln, Maury, and Giles Counties competed. Six of the Top 10 students who placed in Algebra I were from Marshall County and Tavin Dunkleman from LMS placed 1st. Congratulations!
