Join us for a presentation on school safety with Trent Lovett, retired Superintendent of Marshall County Schools, Benton, KY, who experienced a violent school crisis in 2018. He will share his first person account, as both an administrator and father of a student inside the school.

Students with money will have an opportunity to visit the book fair tomorrow morning. They will have another chance next week. Attached is the schedule for next week. Ms. Crowder will also have the Book Fair open next Thursday night during Parent Teacher Conferences. 3:30-8:30.
Teacher have or will be sending out conference invites soon. Please respond quickly in order to get the slot that best fits your schedule. While they are focusing on scheduling conferences with those students who are needing more support, they welcome any parents who want to meet.

Families,
A few reminders about Friday.
*If you are checking your child out for the parade, we ask that you do so by 11:00. We will begin loading buses shortly after 11:00. By picking them up by 11:00, we can ensure they are still on campus.
*Attendance rules still apply for Friday. Early checkouts will result in an absence. Feel free to use a parent note if you still have any left. Otherwise, it will be unexcused.
*Only students who ride the bus to NHC with us may stand at NHC and watch the parade. Anyone with a parent/guardian, must remain with their parent at a different location.
*Students may not leave NHC with a parent/guardian. If you wish to check your child out after the parade, you must do so in the front office upon our return.
*If a permission slip is not turned in by today, the student will not be allowed to attend the parade. We will not be accepting permission slips on Friday.
Calendar Correction:
The October calendar has a mistake. This is my fault. 6th Grade Awards Ceremony will be Thursday, Oct. 23, not Wednesday, Oct. 22!
Thank you for your Patience, Support, and Understanding!

Take a look below to see what our students are learning and practicing.

Dress Code Reminder. Families, we will be reminding students tomorrow that Pajamas, PJ Pants, are not to be worn to school. If a student wears Pajama bottoms, or top, to school, they will be asked to call home to have you bring them a change of clothes. The last thing we want to do is bother you at work. Help us by reminding your child they should not be worn to school.
We have a lot of clothing items in Lost and Found. I will be posting a video of the items on our Facebook Page, Westhills Elementary Tigers. Anything not picked up by Fall Break will be donated to Hopetown.
Snack Cart tomorrow!!!!
Thank you,
Carrie Utterback
