SEND A COOKIE GRAM OR PAY IT FORWARD FOR A WESTHILLS STUDENT! ✨ As we head into the holiday break, we have a wonderful opportunity to spread a little extra joy to our Westhills Elementary Tigers! Thanks to Beverly Ann’s Cookies, we’re able to send Cookie Grams—a sweet treat paired with a kind, encouraging message—to brighten a student’s day. 💙 How can you help? You can purchase a cookie gram (or several!) You may: • Send one to your child or grandchild • Select any student or teacher’s class • Or simply allow your gift to go to a child who could use an extra smile this season as you ✨ PAY IT FORWARD FOR A WESTHILLS STUDENT! ✨ Along with the cookies, you can write a short, uplifting message letting a student know they are special and that someone was thinking of them. ❤️ To participate, just follow the instructions on the flyer attached. Let’s come together and make sure every Tiger feels the love this holiday season! 🎄🍪🐯 Thank you for helping us spread kindness throughout our school community! 🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, MRS. KATE OLIVER! Westhills Elementary is absolutely thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Kate Oliver, 5th grade Science and Social Studies teacher, for being named both the Westhills 5–8 Teacher of the Year and the Marshall County 5–8 District Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Oliver is a shining example of innovation, dedication, and heart. Her passion for helping students discover the wonder in science and the stories of our world is unmatched, and her impact reaches far beyond her classroom. Westhills is better because of her leadership, her kindness, and her unwavering commitment to excellence. We were honored to have Tammy Lewis, District Curriculum Specialist, join us for the surprise recognition, along with Mrs. Oliver’s family—her daughter Shelby, husband John, the Westhills administrative team, and her amazing fellow 5th grade teachers. Their presence made this special moment even more meaningful. Please help us celebrate this incredible accomplishment! 💙🐅 Congratulations, Mrs. Oliver! You represent the very best of Westhills and Marshall County! 🌟

MCS will be implementing the "Too Good for Drugs" school-based drug prevention program for elementary school students.

The program seeks to build the self-confidence of students so they are better able to make healthy choices and achieve success. Although there are different objectives across grade levels, promoting positive, pro-social attitudes and fostering healthy relationships are running themes throughout the program's curriculum. Overall, TGFD seeks to develop positive peer norms; appropriate attitudes toward alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drug use; personal and interpersonal skills relating to alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drug use; knowledge of the negative consequences of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drug use; and finally the knowledge of the benefits of living a drug-free lifestyle.

If you do not wish for your student to participate in the Botvin Life Skills program please notify the school administration in writing by Friday, December 12, 2025.

For more information, visit their website at: https://toogoodprograms.org/collections/too-good-for-drugs

It’s the perfect time to show our gratitude for the incredible staff at Westhills Elementary School! Our teachers and support staff pour their time, resources, and hearts into making sure our students have everything they need to learn and grow. Here’s a great chance for our community to come together and say, “Thank you!” Tom’s Coffee Truck and Westhills Administration have teamed up for Educators Week to treat every teacher and staff member serving our Lewisburg 4th–6th graders to a free drink of their choice on Friday, Nov. 21. We’re off to a strong start, but we still need a little community support! You can donate toward a specific staff member or simply pay it forward to help us make sure everyone is celebrated. Our goal is 90, and as of now, 30 are covered! Any amount helps and is deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance for showing love to the people who love our kids every day! 💙📚☕ Send-A-Sip Link: customer.travelintomscoffee.com Event Code: T43X91211738 (or scan the QR code below.)
