Westhills Elementary School Family Newsletter
Dear Westhills Families,
We hope this message finds you well! As we wrap up our first full week of school, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for your partnership and support. It has been wonderful to see our students settling in and embracing their learning journey.
Celebrations from the Week
Happy Friday, Westhills Families! We are thrilled to report that students are already finding their groove and diving into their learning experiences.
Did you know you can update your contact information using the online registration system? No need to take time off work; you can do it right from your phone!
We have also begun recognizing students for their positive behaviors. Teachers are completing referrals for students who demonstrate respect, organization, accountability, responsibility, and kindness. These students will be celebrated on our Tiger 100 board and receive a positive call home.
REMINDER:
Quick reminder, starting next week you must have a car tag to pick up a student in the car rider line. If you do not have a car tag, you will be asked to park and come to the office with your ID to verify you are on the approved to pick up list. We realize this will be a HUGE inconvenience! If you need more, they are only $1.00 and may be purchased in the front office.

Any inappropriate use or searches will be flagged and reported to Mrs. Utterback. Students will receive one "free pass" for misuse; after that, Chromebooks will only be accessible during school hours when needed for work.
Chromebook Chargers:
We often have issues with misplaced chargers. Chargers are assigned to individual students by number. Please remind your child to keep track of their charger and to retrieve it if loaned to a friend.

ParentVue will open soon for you to view grades. If you haven’t signed up yet, please do! Forms with setup information were sent home last week. If you need assistance logging in, please email Tonya.Shelton@mcstn.net for a password reset. ParentVue is an excellent tool for tracking assignments and grades.

Calendar Fundraiser begins Monday, Aug. 11. It is super easy, just pick a date and send that amount into your child's teacher. You can help their teacher win money for their classroom while also helping our school raise money for instructional programs, recess equipment, instructional items, along with other things students can benefit from this year.
Thank you in advance.
