Good afternoon. I hope you are enjoying an amazing weekend. Attached is our Weekly Update, Read Across America Week (March2-6) dress up days, and information on our new after school program available or to 4/5 graders: FUNdamentals For The Future. FUNdamentals For The Future: This program is focused on the very basic fundamentals which is why it is focused on 4/5 graders. The goal is to help students new to sports develop basic skills and confidence. Space is very limited and it is open on a first to sign up basis. Forms were sent home with 4/5 graders already but attached are copies should you need them.

From Mrs. Cravens: Additional Information – After School Sports Program • This program is for 4th & 5th graders at Westhills Elementary only. • Informational meetings are NOT required to participate. • Students only need to turn in the completed paperwork. • This meeting is informational only for parents to meet Mrs. Cravens (PE teacher). • If you are attending tonight’s meeting (6:00–6:30 PM), please enter through the cafeteria doors by the bus loop. Hi Westhills families! 🐯 We are excited to offer an optional After School Sports Program that will begin on March 2, 2026. Information packets have been sent home. We will also have two informational meetings in the cafeteria: • Tonight from 6:00–6:30 PM • Next Tuesday, February 24th 6:00-6:30 PM This is a 10-week program featuring five different sports that will be taught and practiced. Students may pick and choose which days or weeks they would like to participate (as long as spots are available). Please check the attachments for full details. We hope to see you there! 🏀⚽🏈🎾🥎

Calendar change: Kona will be here Wednesday this week instead of Thursday. They will be selling Kocoa and Cookies again.

There are a lot of fun activities this coming week. Please see the attachment for a rundown of our weekly events. Attached are also some fun pics of staff. Can you guess the staff member? Check out our new art display Mrs. Higgs has purchased and put up. Such a cool way to show off student work! IMPORTANT NOTES: DANCE drop off and pick up will be through the BACK Car Rider line. Please enter campus off of Old Franklin Road. The gate will be locked, front and bus entrances will be blocked. Please plan accordingly. No Deliveries: We will not be accepting outside deliveries for Valentine's Day. Please have items sent to your house. We do not have enough staff available to deliver to classes as they will be working with students. Thank you for understanding. NO SCHOOL Monday, February 19 in honor of President's Day

Goods evening. Schools will open with a one hour delay tomorrow, Monday, February 2. Westhills will open doors to students at 8:00 and classes will begin at 8:50. Staff should report one hour later than your normal start/duty time.

Schools closed tomorrow, Friday, January 30. Central Office, maintenance, and custodians will work. See you Monday, I hope!

Due to the ice and snow, we have changed the Crumbl cookie fundraiser due date to be Monday, February 2. The hard will not accept any more orders date will be Wednesday, February 4. #ifkyk

Marshall County Schools closed again tomorrow, Thursday, January 29. Central Office will be open.

While we are trying to stay warm, I thought you might want to use this time to plan ahead for next month’s events.

Marshall County Schools will be closed Monday AND Tuesday. Tomorrow will be a full shutdown--no Central Office, no maintenance, no custodians.
