The Marshall County Board of Education will meet on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Conference Room, 700 Jones Circle.     Students Learn Python Coding

    Middle and high school students across the district are using Finch programmable robots to learn coding. Students learn Python coding by programming the "bird's" embedded lights, sensors, and motors. Schools received "flocks" of the Finch robots through a Tennessee Science Innovation Network Grant. Forrest students are shown programming the birds this week.

    Employees in talent acquisition, industrial maintenance, and production from Ultium Cells in Spring Hill visited Mr. Adams' classes to share information on the EV battery company, job opportunities and internships, job responsibilities, interview skills, and much more.     MCHS hosted their annual College/Technical/Military Fair last night with over 30 colleges, technical schools, and military branches on hand, as well as the FAFSA advisor. A great turnout of students and parents from across the county stopped by with questions in hand.

    A new state law requires schools to have permission before your child can see the school nurse or other school employee, for any unexpected illness or injury. As such, we need all parents/guardians to complete a short form to provide consent, by August 30th. The form is available here

    MCHS Students Tops for 23-24 Psychology SDC Exam

    The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) recently published its Statewide Dual Credit (SDC) annual report for the 2023-2024 academic year and Marshall County High School had the highest pass rate for the Psychology challenge exam.

    Mrs. Kristina Rogers has been teaching Psychology for the past four years and 47 students were in her classes last year. The SDC exams, she stated, are difficult and each student is given a different set of questions.

    "We are extremely proud of Mrs. Rogers and all of her State Dual Credit Psychology students last school year for leading the entire STATE in the SDC Challenge Exam pass rate,” stated MCHS Principal, Dr. Justin Perry.
