SkillsUSA Winners

Fifteen students representing the Spot Lowe Technology Center distinguished themselves at the SkillsUSA Tennessee State Leadership and Skills Conference held March 15–18. Joining a field of over 1,800 peers at the Chattanooga Convention Center, the Marshall County delegation competed in 13 specialized categories, securing medals in seven of them.

The highlight of the event was the performance of MCHS senior Caroline McNutt, who earned a Gold medal in Prepared Speech. McNutt’s first-place finish qualifies her to represent Spot Lowe at the National Leadership and Skills Conference this June in Atlanta.

The following students also earned top honors for their technical proficiency: Silver Medalists: Aileen Nguyen (Related Technical Math), Bill Nguyen (Industrial Motor Control), and Danna Hunter (Customer Service). Bronze Medalists: Lucas Smith and Brianna Hill (Mechatronics), Steven Monroy Gomez (Job Demonstration A), and Dani Brady (Welding Sculpture).
