FCCLA

Advisor Mrs. Lauren Briggs and two Cornersville School students, Hannah King (r) and Dixie Vickers (l), attended the Tennessee FCCLA’s State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga April 9-11, with both young women earning their way to nationals by scoring gold. A score of "gold" means they earned at least 90 points out of a possible 100 points available. King, a sophomore, competed in Teach or Train and earned 2nd place, while Vickers, a senior, competed in the Say Yes to FCS Education event and earned 1st place. Dixie also participated in the FCS signing event and was recognized on stage. She plans to pursue Family and Consumer Science Education at the University of Tennessee at Martin this fall. The three will be in Washington, DC in early July for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. Congratulations!
