Cornersville FFA recently attended the 98th annual Tennessee State Convention in Gatlinburg, TN, where the chapter received the Superior Chapter Award as well as the PLOW award. The FFA PLOW Award stands for Passing Literacy OnWard, and it is an agricultural literacy initiative that rewards FFA chapters for hosting reading events, promoting agriculture, and devoting specialized hours to extracurricular reading. Addtionally, members Chris Anne Richter (left) and Jacey Metcalf (right) received their Tennessee FFA State Degree, one of the highest honors a member can earn. It is awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to agricultural education, leadership, and SAE development. Recipients of this award represent the top tier of FFA membership. The chapter advisors are Ms. Virginia Stephens and Mr. Lane Worley. Congratulations!
